Review: Frickenschmidt Foods Original Snack Stick

A nice thick stick; roughly 7-8 inches in length.

I love the name. Frickenschmidt. It’s fun to say and sounds German/European.

It’s a nice looking beef stick. Technically, it’s a beef and pork stick, but I’m not THAT picky.

The package is easy to open. The stick smells of meat and smoke. It looks a little greasy, which makes me a little nervous.

The first bite! A little disappointment. It starts off a little bland. Then, relief! Although it looks greasy on the outside, it does not taste that way. It’s moist and not too chewy. Firm, but not too firm. Not stringy at all. There’s a spicy, peppery aftertaste that kicks in after a little bit and lingers pleasantly. The aftertaste is the star of the show here.

I found that I kept taking bites while writing up my tasting notes. I finished the stick before finishing my notes. No regrets here. A pleasant stick that I would eat again.
